The City of Argonia is Seeking a Campground Host for the 2026 Season

 

The City of Argonia is looking for a friendly and dependable Campground Host to help create a welcoming, enjoyable experience for guests at the Argonia River Park Campground. This volunteer position combines guest services, light administrative tasks, and general campground support in a peaceful outdoor setting.

Key Responsibilities

·         Promote a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for campers

·         Maintain a daily log of campsite usage

·         Perform light restroom duties, including stocking supplies and        basic cleaning

·         Assist City personnel in keeping the campground clean and litter-free

·         Light gardening and general grounds upkeep (mowing done by City Staff)

·         Communicate as needed with City staff

Located just south of Argonia along the Chikaskia River, Argonia River Park Campground offers:

·         31 designated campsites

·         Open tent camping

·         Electric, water, and sewer hookups

·         Picnic grounds and shelter houses

·         Bathhouse facilities

·         Fishing access on the river

·         Picnic tables, deck areas, and a half-mile walking trail
